EValuation PART 2 - All Done :)

Evaluation - All Done :)

At first i thought are two task were great and couldn't believe that my group could of came up with something so amazing like the radio ad and the poster, however when we got the reviews back, i saw a different side from are two tasks. The tasks were showing a completely different point across then what the film was. The reason why i say this is because the two tasks give off that are film is about horror and that its based on a dark cold night. However when the audience watch the short film they expect something different from what there watching. Which is shown in are radio trailer and poster but not with the film.I then looked back on my research on the film buried and i realised that all of the radio ads and posters linked together , which made it a successful campaign. If we were going to realise are film are campaign would be misleading to the audience and this could lead to are campaign being not successful as we wanted. This could be seen as a fail but we tried to work around the problems. However when i was doing my research on film posters, i found out that some of these things are realised before production and then later on there are changes to the storyline meaning that the campaign that is already out for that film does not go with the new storyline. The solution to there problem is to restart a promotional campaign, However my group did not have time or the budget to redo are campaign so we continued it on.

For example the film buried is dark and scary film and this mirrored in there promotional campaign seen below:

I did my evaluation on a podcast because i wanted to show another side of how i could present my work;

In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

Audience feedback:

Marxism theory

Marxism Theory

The economic and political theory and practice originated by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels that holds that actions and human institutions are economically determined, that the class struggle is the basic agency of historical change, and that capitalism will ultimately be superseded by communism.

Ideology

A central feature of Marxist theory is the 'materialist' stance that social being determines consciousness. According to this stance, ideological positions are a function of class positions, and the dominant ideology in society is the ideology of its dominant class.

This links to are film because the wallet dropper is a dominant role than the the follower. The reason why this is because the wallet dropper would have more status because he works unlike the follower that commits a crime in the end of the film .

Character Profile SMILE for me :)

MAN 1 (Wallet Dropper)Scott - The Character who drops his wallet in the film and is being pursed by the man trying to return his wallet to him. He is a easy going guy, adult, sociable ,friendly, smart, has bit of money and is cool.He has a vulnerable and this could be the reason why he could be singled out.

Man2 (follower) The character who is following the man who drops his wallet. A rough looking youth, mysterious, suspicious and deceptive . Also he is very aware of his surroundings ,which links to him spotting the wallet.

Editing Two Steps Behind

On Tuesday, we had to show are teachers and the rest of our class what we had done so far. They were very impressed with are work so far, after all the different changes.

we then decided to take the opinions given and try and make the improvements. We used some shots that we didn't use and put them in the film, to make it longer and more effective.

We then asked some people in the room, who fitted our target audience to watch our film and we asked for their opinions.

I believe that the opinions given reflects the hard work that are group put in and also showed that the film was very good to watch , just like a high budget short film.
