OH NO PROBLEMS

Today our group was scheduled to take the camera off site to complete the filming, However the weather has completely turn upside down from the last time we were filming. The weather last week was bright and sunny unlike today which is dull and breezy. We will have to wait until the weather has changed back to sunny, so that we can start filming again.By waiting until the weather has change we will not be messing up the continuity of are film , however we will be set back in time meaning we will behind and will need to catch up quickly.

Later on that week , we had notice that are lead actor jevan undertook a makeover which included having his hair in a different way to what it was when we were filming the scenes for the short film. We will need to have a production meeting to work what we have to do to solve this big problem on are hands

Jevans new hairstyle is similar to the artist Omarion However his old hair style is use to be like the rapper Da brat which is single plaits. This can be seen below:

Editing sessions 1

Today my group sat down in front of are assigned mac and started editing our footage. We had a few problems. so as we filmed the scene moving cars came and went. This messed with continuity of are film.

We decieded to re-do the opening to our film because we managed to put together a minute footage.

Filming two steps behind part 2

Today we we did another scene and made some major changes to the location. The reason why this decision was made was because the teachers wanted us to have the location local. The original location would of been to far and with new shiny cameras, it would of been un safe for us as young adults by are self's filming. If we did continue with this plan we would be targeted because of the camera and that was not risk that the teachers wanted to take. so we decided to chose the park near our school. We finished most of our film however we ran out of time so we didn't complete the task that we set out to do that day.We will have to schedule another day to film and to make sure we pick a day with great weather that matches the one had the last time we were filming.
We notice that by changing to park we could get a lot more shots done like
over-the-shoulder
close ups,
tracking reverse shots.
we also looked out how we could use the park for example the trees and the corners could work in are favour when filming are film because once again it will build up more suspense. Looks like everything happens for a reason.

Filming two steps behind part 1

As soon as we got into class today,we got down to filming a scene. The scene that was filmed was the flashback one. In this scene the wallet dropper is having a flashback of when he was last attacked. We were very happy because we had the chance to film different shots and angles. We filmed in a area that is just outside are school meaning, if anything goes wrong we will be able to correct it quickly and not go out of are way to do so.

YAYYYYYYYYYYY !!!! Cameras HAVE ARRIVED

This week the new cameras arrived at our school. which means that we start filming. Now With the new cameras in are hands,we can begin to film our actual product. Hopefully we can get some scenes filmed by next week, as the sooner we start the better off we will be in the future. Also i wanted to pretend that i was a camera guy for a day , which was very fun experience to me as a media student.

Editing sessions- Learning like a Baby :)

As the new cameras have finally come, most of the groups in class have footage to upload and edit, including us. However the whole class is new to this type of technology therefore the teachers have arrange a lesson. The lesson included teaching us the basics on editing, uploading and using the software Finalcutexpress. we also learnt how to cut and select specific parts of our footage, and how to add transitions and effects that will affect the sound and image. Also as we are using the new macs,we have to learn the new shortcuts on the keyboard. This was lesson was very useful our group. However we had a chance to experiment with some example footage where we had to try and edit. We had the basic knowledge to start us off with editing are film.
